About me...

About me... I suppose my first entry should be a little about me and perhaps why you should give a damn about what I have to say. I'll answer in reverse order... as to the 2nd question: "Why should you give a damn about what I have to say?" In all honesty, you shouldn't. After all, I'm no more insightful or intelligent than the next guy. I'm not possessed of some secret wisdom or extraordinary insight to the world around us. Perhaps the only reason would be entertainment, maybe if I'm lucky I might be able to make you laugh sometime. If I do exceptionally well, perhaps I can make you think. In the way of advice, I'm honest enough to admit I have more to offer in learning from my mistakes than by you emulating my triumphs. I can offer this one thing though... honesty. The more time I spend on-line the more valuable I find that commodity to be. About me: I've been on HotMatch.com, off and on, over 10 years. I've made some real friends, and shed some real tears both from loss and genuine laughter. I've met probably over a hundred folks from here at Meet & Greets and other get-togethers, but I've only been intimate with a bare handful. My background includes various martial arts and though I'd never get in the MMA cage myself, I've helped train a few that were far braver than I. I've been certified as a fitness trainer and still manage to workout a few times a week. (I'd be happy to offer what advice I can in that regard, just let me know). I smoke a mean BBQ and our team has won some competitions in the past. (I do love to cook and I'm all for swapping trade secrets) In bed.. I haven't won any awards lol... though I did get a "Thank You" letter once... which was odd but kinda cool. I had the benefit of meeting an older woman in her 40's when I was in my 20's. (that's a tutorial I'd recommend to any young man!) I can truly say the most valuable things I learned in college didn't take place in a classroom. I've gotten many a 2nd "date" because of what that wonderful woman taught me and I'm eternally grateful to her. And that my friends is probably enough for now... I'll write about whatever comes to mind and whatever you folks may be curious about. All the best, 1Lost |
